Feral Science was founded to provide high quality curriculum linked science teaching at secondary level. Rupert is an experienced teacher of the three sciences at secondary level, has a passion for outdoor learning and actively participates in bushcraft and other outdoor activities as an instructor. Feral Science works both through direct delivery of sessions within a woodland setting or on appropriate areas within school grounds as well as though the provision of lesson plans and teaching resources for schools and practitioners to deliver themselves. CPD training is available to teachers using Feral Science resources and to develop a schools own outdoor leaning offering. We also support the development of Bushcraft skills for teachers who wish to gain confidence in the techniques and use them to take their teaching outside.

As a business that reimagines classroom teaching and uses the outdoor environment to meet curriculum objectives we are ideally placed to support the immersion of young people in a natural environment. By being educated within the natural environment students will see the links between the natural environment and scientific and technological advancements. By instilling nature into academic subjects at exam level students will have a respect for nature and a more complete understanding of the impact of human activity. This will be significant as a foundation for learning for future scientists, engineers and innovators.
We also endeavour to follow good bushcraft practise of leaving no trace by using natural materials where possible and avoiding the use of plastics where other materials are available.
